Celebrating our Fabulous 5 from our Step-By-Step Pilot Program!
March 12th was an epic day for our team after a long trek down the 3D printing path! It was our moment to blow up balloons, pass out chocolates, and celebrate successfully fitting our fabulous first five kids with custom-made 3D-printed prosthetic legs! You’ll see from the photos why Abd Alrahman, Dana, Youssef, Munther, and Sanad have quickly captured our team’s hearts and already become dear to us. Each has a unique story of struggle, but all have emerged as shining stars, leaping over life’s hurdles and stepping out with state-of-the-art technology strapped to their legs. Step-by-step, they are showing the world what is possible!
Donors and friends who have championed our dream to help kids in the Middle East walk and play again, gathered to cheer on our fabulous five and celebrate the breakthrough in humanitarian solutions here in Jordan. AlMamlaka TV came to show the world the strength of our kids and to broadcast our vision to also help in Gaza. The number of child amputees in Gaza is profoundly disturbing, and we long to combine technology and compassion to alleviate some of the suffering and bring healing. Our first fabulous five will no doubt help kick open the door to Gaza and inspire kids everywhere to step towards hope.
