Eighteen-year-old Amjad worked in a cafeteria and spent his days helping customers and supporting his family. One day, after spending time with friends, he was on his way home when he noticed a strange object near a lake along the road. Curious about what it was, he went to check it. In an instant, the object exploded, changing his life forever and causing him to lose his right leg below the knee.
Despite the challenges that followed, Amjad remained hopeful. When he learned about the opportunity to receive a 3D-printed prosthesis, he was filled with excitement. From the day he was scanned, he eagerly followed up and looked forward to every step of the process. His anticipation continued to grow until the day finally arrived when the team traveled again to Syria and fitted him with his new prosthesis at Ibn Al Nafees Hospital.
