We have been working in Syria shortly after the new government took over power. We hired a Syrian attorney, we are working diligently to finalize our registration with the government. In the meantime, we are working under the Syria American Medical Society (SAMS).
Why Syria?
The waiting list is over 1300 amputees at the Ministry of Health (MOH) facility in Damascus alone, who need a prosthetic leg.
So far we have fit 56 kids with a partnership under SAMS.
We are opening an office in Syria, to provide additional access for children who need prosthetics and hearing aids.
We want to build a dynamic team and build capacity to reach the outlying areas.
Our heart
We want to treasure each child make them feel like the most important person in the room.
Holistic Care
We will provide follow up services of maintenance and physical therapy. Along with psychological support for the kids. Similiar to Jordan, we want to try and build a community among our patients too.
Capacity Building
We are recruiting a team currently and fundraising to match our goals.
Hearing Aids
We see patients from all over Syria. They are always asking if we provide hearing aid too. We are waiting for the right donor, to help us build the team for hearing aids provision in Syria.
