Raji spent much of his time helping his family by taking care of their two cows and supporting daily life at home. One day, while wandering nearby, he stepped on a landmine. The explosion changed his life instantly, causing him to lose his right leg below the knee. His other leg and his eyes were also injured, though with time his eyes healed.
Despite the challenges, Raji remained full of energy and spirit. Alongside helping his family, one of the things he loved most was dancing Dabkeh, a traditional Middle Eastern folk dance that brought him joy and connected him to his culture and community.
The day he was fitted with his 3D-printed prosthesis became a day to remember. It marked a new chapter in his life, giving him the opportunity to move more freely and return to the activities he loved. For Raji, it was not only about walking again — it was about getting back to helping his family and dancing once more.
