Saeed Alsaeed

Thirteen year old Saeed Alsaeed from Syria was walking his sheep through the fields in May 2025, a quiet day much like any other. In an instant, that peace was shattered by a landmine explosion that took his right leg below the knee. The blast also left him with hearing loss, adding another layer of challenge to an already difficult reality.

Even before the accident, Saeed was not attending school due to his family’s circumstances. After the injury, daily life became even more complex, simple movements required assistance, and the freedom he once felt in the open fields seemed far away.

When Saeed was scanned last week for a 3D printed prosthesis, it marked the beginning of a new chapter. The fitting day was filled with quiet anticipation. As he stood and took his very first steps after the accident. Each step was steady, intentionally a reminder that even after profound loss, resilience can begin one step at a time.
