Luna

Syrian girl Luna is two and a half years old, still holding her milk bottle close for comfort. Born  with a congenital deformity, both legs missing above the knee and her right hand, she faces the world with quiet curiosity and a bright smile.

As she’s scanned for her first 3D-printed prostheses, Luna sits as calmly as a toddler can be, so active and unafraid. Soon after, she begins to walk around, exploring her space with excitement. Her face lights up, proud and joyful with every movement.

In that moment, Luna isn’t defined by what she was born without, but by the happiness of taking her own steps forward.
