Mahmoud

Ten-year-old Mahmoud Abu Rokbeh’s life changed last February when he was hit by a car, losing his left leg below the knee.

Mahmoud lives in Madaba with his father and four siblings. In the months following the accident, he made many trips to Al-Bashir Hospital, where he underwent surgery, received physiotherapy, and got the care he needed.

In August, just days after his first visit to 3DP4ME, Mahmoud was fitted with his very first prosthesis.

Because of the mobility challenges after the accident, Mahmoud was unable to attend school and missed an entire semester. Now, with his prosthesis, he is eager to return to class and rejoin the fifth grade when the school year begins this fall.

Despite all he has been through, Mahmoud remains a cheerful, joy-filled child. Before receiving his prosthesis, playing with friends was often difficult, but he has always kept his love for fun and connection. He enjoys video games and dreams of becoming a YouTuber one day.
